Five restaurants in Sodankylä, three of them on the Arctic Ocean road through town. Ratings, review quotes and links to their own menus.
A stop on the Arctic Ocean road, and most of the choice is on it.
Sodankylä is the halfway town on the long drive north, and its restaurants line up accordingly: Sodankylän turkinpippuri, Ravintola RuusuSuola and Sodankylän Olohuone Tähti all sit on Jäämerentie, the road that eventually reaches the Arctic Ocean. Turkinpippuri carries the most reviews here by a distance. Olohuone Tähti has the highest rating at 4.8, on a much smaller count. Tori-Kioski Mikkola and Piitsi Pubi fill in off the main road.
Three of them are on Jäämerentie, the main road through town — easy to combine with a driving break.
The town fills up in mid-June for the Midnight Sun Film Festival; tables get scarce that week.
Luosto is about 32 km away and has its own page.
